A Little Background...
Sam started his career in racing when moving to Australia in 2007, where, over three years, he covered all aspects of the business from working with race courses, stud farms, and at the sales with agents. He was an understudy to agent Peter Ford, with whom he worked the majority of the Australian, American and European sales.
Upon returning to the UK in 2010, Sam embarked on setting up a media business; Sirecam Europe; currently one of the thoroughbred industries most well-known media suppliers.
The following year, Sam began setting up racing syndication which involved working alongside group 1 winning trainers; Brian Meehan, Charlie Hills and Hugo Palmer, with great success.
I would like to think that from the broad understanding of the industry that I can offer a tailored experience to any of my clients; individual owners, syndicate members and breeders with the main aim to achieve the best
Sam’s father Robert Sangster, one of the brethren, the three founders of Coolmore was an incredibly successful pioneer in the racing industry along side John Magnier and Vincent O’Brien. He owned and bred over 100 Group One winners and 27 European Classics.
Horses such as Saddlers Wells, Alleged, Detroit, Golden Fleece, The Minstrel, El Gran Señor, Rodrigo De Triano, Balanchine to name a few headline Group 1 winners who’s names influence blue bloodlines all over the world.
Sams brothers Ben and Adam both are currently very active in the racing world, Ben is the owner/breeder of Manton Stud where he has a high end broodmare band he runs with his wife Lucy and Adam is the principal of Swettenham Stud Australia a stud farm in Victoria home to some of the countries top stallions.
My father is with me every day, I endeavour to maintain the reputation that he built in this industry and try to go about my business how I believe he would with integrity and an open mind at the forefront of all my decisions.
