Tattersalls December sales, for me when reading the catalogue there was really only one horse that I wanted to buy and it is very rare that one can say you’ve walked away with that horse. We were thrilled to have bought such quality in Pomology, lot 160. She was a high-class race performer, she is all quality physically, size, scope, beautiful action and is already the dam of a Group 1 performer in Goldspur who will continue to race on for Charlie Appleby and will no doubt be adding more Group form to the pedigree. She has two Night of Thunder’s to run for her, one with John Gosden the other with being a yearling and she carries a cover to Darley’s sire Ghaiyyath of which there a number catalogued in all the top sales around Europe and reports are very strong about these yearlings. I would expect that particular foal will be gracing Book 1 in a couple of years time. She will be an easy mare to cover as no cover would be too much for such a quality mare and we are incredibly excited to see what more she can produce in Ireland.
